SkyMow uses analytics to understand site visits and affiliate clicks, and collects email information only when you choose to subscribe. We do not sell your personal information.
This policy applies to SkyMow, the robotic mower review and comparison site at skymow.com, including its guides, reviews, comparison tool, newsletter forms, and checklist page. It describes the behavior currently implemented in the site as of the date above.
If you subscribe to the newsletter or request the buying checklist, you may provide your email address and optionally your name. The form also records the page where you subscribed and an optional utm_source campaign value. We use this information to manage the subscription and send the requested email.
For HTML page requests, the server-side page-view tracker records the requested path, referring page, browser user-agent, and a 16-character SHA-256 hash of the request IP address. The IP address itself is not stored in the page-view record. Asset, health-check, sitemap, robots, and API paths are excluded from this tracker.
Google Analytics 4 is loaded through Google Tag Manager's hosted script using measurement ID G-M9BC6TJGG1. The site sends page views, affiliate-click events for Amazon links, scroll-depth events at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%, and newsletter interaction events. Google may use cookies or similar technologies according to its own policies.
The site also creates a random visitor identifier in browser localStorage under polsia_vid and sends it with the page path to the Polsia analytics beacon. Newsletter features use skymow_subscribed, skymow_sticky_dismissed, and skymow_exit_dismissed in localStorage to remember subscription and dismissal choices. These values are not cookies and remain in your browser until you clear them.
SkyMow participates in Amazon Associates and manufacturer and retailer affiliate programs. Some links include the Amazon Associates tag skymow-20. If you click an affiliate link and purchase something, the retailer or manufacturer may attribute the visit or sale to SkyMow and pay a commission at no extra cost to you.
Our JavaScript analytics records an affiliate_click event when an Amazon.com link is clicked, including the destination URL, link text, page path, and an inferred product name. This event is used for reporting and does not change the price or the product page you visit. See the Affiliate Disclosure for the site's editorial and affiliate relationship details.
We do not use newsletter information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell or rent personal information.
SkyMow uses service providers to operate the site and its features. These may include Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for analytics, Polsia for website analytics and email delivery, the site's hosting and PostgreSQL database providers for hosting and storage, and Amazon or other retailers and manufacturers when you follow an outbound commerce link. Those third parties process information under their own privacy policies and terms.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud or abuse, protect the site and its users, comply with law, or respond to valid legal process. We do not add payment-card information to this site; purchases happen on the linked retailer or manufacturer site.
Newsletter records are retained while needed to operate the subscription, provide requested communications, maintain suppression or deduplication records, and meet legal or operational requirements. Page-view analytics are retained for site measurement and security for as long as reasonably necessary. Browser localStorage values remain until you clear them or the site replaces them. Third-party providers set their own retention periods.
Some site functions, such as remembering a dismissed newsletter prompt, may reset when browser storage is blocked or cleared.
SkyMow is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures for the information we handle, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
We may update this policy when the site's data practices change. The current version is identified by its last-updated date at the top of this page. Questions, privacy requests, and newsletter-removal requests can be sent to info@skymow.com.
